Aion Sorcerer Introduction

To become a Sorcerer, you’ll first have to start out as a Mage. After doing all your quests in the first area of the game and reaching level 10 for ascension, you then get to choose your class.

The Sorcerer class is a really powerful one if used correctly. You’ll have access to all sorts of DPS (Damage Per Second) skills and CC (Crowd Control) skills, as well as a few DOTs (Damage Over Time) and buffs. The difference between Sorcerers and Spiritmasters in this regard is where they lean the most. Sorcerers go for major DPS, while Spiritmasters mainly rely on Damage Over Time. Nevertheless, it’s a great character to play in PvP and group play.

The downside to being a Sorcerer is found especially in the defensive stats and Armor department. To balance out the immense damage you can make with your DPS skills, combined with your crowd control and DOT, you wont be able to take much damage before you’re done for. Because of this you’ll have to use your CC wisely, as well as have a sufficient supply of Health and Mana potions available at all times. For this, I’d recommend that you train your Alchemy skills a great deal. This way you wont have to purchase all your potions, and instead save a lot of Kinah by making them yourself.

You do have a couple of buffing spells that will enable you to take more damage, like for example the spell Stone Skin which blocks all hits until it reaches a certain amount of damage taken. But all in all, you’ll want to keep your distance to your target whenever possible and try to kill it before it even gets a chance to attack you. The way you setup and use your skills from the quickbar will make all the difference in the world for this.

The final verdict: For the players that want to be able to solo Elite mobs with the right tactics, and be the person in a group to control which enemies have aggro, this is the class for them. If you feel that you fit this group; then you are welcome to the Sorcerer family!
